Heuchera americana Linnaeus — American Alumroot

Habitat:

Rocky forests, rock outcrops, particularly where soils are subacidic to circumneutral. H. americana is the most widespread species of Heuchera in e. North America. Within the range of H. caroliniana, H. americana is nearly absent.
